Synopsis

Increasingly, internal auditors are being involved in corporate fraud investigations, such as those relating to employee collusion with suppliers, employee theft of confidential business information, suspicious business transactions with third parties, and many more.

In this Learn At Lunch session, the speakers will share their knowledge in investigation in a corporate setting, including the procedures, legal, privilege, the do’s and don’ts, use of advanced forensic technology and social media for investigation.

 

About the Speakers

Swee Wan brings with him vast experience in investigation and forensics technology in both the criminal and civil aspects, having spearheaded the Singapore Police Force’s (SPF) efforts in combating financial, IT and IPR-related crimes. His outstanding performance won him the Singapore Home Affairs Ministerial Award, and after 12 illustrious years with SPF, Swee Wan took his expertise to the private sector, holding management positions where he investigated financial and technology fraud cases in Asia Pacific.

Kah Leong is an Encase Certified Examiner and Trainer, Magnet Certified Forensics Examiner and Trainer, and Tenable Certified Nessus Auditor (TCNA). He offers over a decade of experience in forensic technology and information security, having spent years in a Swiss bank and digital investigation companies perfecting his craft. His extensive Forensic Technology skills include developing new methodology to review OS and application artifacts from user-related activities, and providing affidavit and acting as an expert witness in court.

1. Upon completing your registration, proceed to payment and select the “Cheque/Fund Transfer” option.
2. Login to Internet Banking or Mobile Banking.

5. Once payment is made, please print screen the transaction and email to events@iia.org.sg for our tracking purposes. Please include in your email the Event Code of each event when you are making payment of registration fees for multiple events in a single transaction.

1. Only online registrations are accepted. All registrations must "Proceed to Payment" to complete registration. You will be able to select GIRO/Cheque option for company invoice/e-invoice OR credit card payment. Please select payment mode and submit registration. Upon completion of successful registration, you should receive an auto-generated registration confirmation via email.
2. A reminder to event will be sent 1 day prior commencement date.
3. Registration is on a first-come-first-served-basis.
