This session explains how Prudential Internal Audit used AI solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness in audit functions. It explores the deployment of custom AI tools, which enhanced resource planning through skill matching, automated the creation of control test matrices integrating policies, regulations, and frameworks, and enabled population analysis using voice analytics and AI-based image/document review. In this session, Dr Eva Peggy Best will delve into various AI use cases, showcasing practical applications that show how AI can be used for internal audit processes or audits. Further, recognising the need for continuous learning, the session will explore AI upskilling for auditors, highlighting ideas for training programs and resources to equip professionals with necessary skills. Finally, the presentation will highlight key lessons learned and conclude with insights into the evolving role of AI, offering a forward-looking perspective on what the future may hold for the auditing profession.

Dr. Eva Peggy Best Head of Corporate Audit Region Asia South and Australia BMW Group Asia
Dr. Eva Peggy Best is Head of Corporate Audit for BMW Region Asia South and Australia and has over 15 years of experience in internal audit, corporate governance, and internal controls. Previously, she was Head of Corporate Audit of BMW Italy. She gained valuable work experience in her early career as an IT Project Manager.
Eva holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), a Diploma in Computer Science (TUM), and a degree in International Management (Germany’s State Distance-Learning University Hagen), as well as the designations of Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from the Institute of Internal Auditors.
In her current role, she leverages AI technologies to enhance audit processes, improve data analysis, and increase the efficiency of internal controls. Since 2023, she participates in the German Institute of Internal Auditors (DIIR) Task Force on sustainability/ESG topics.

- Registration fee must be received prior to the date of the seminar.

- Cancellation must be submitted in writing to the Academy team at iia-academy@iia.org.sg at least 7 working days prior to the seminar and subject to IIA Singapore's approval. A processing fee of $100 per participant will be imposed for any cancellation. Substitutions will be permitted and conditions will apply. You may substitute a “like” person to attend the seminar in your place – for example, if you are an IIA Singapore member, you may substitute with another IIA Singapore member.
- IIA Singapore reserves the right to revise the seminar programme as necessary.
