Event Overview:

It has been increasingly important for companies as an employer to be conversant of the compliance requirements in the income reporting of the employees’ remuneration in the Form IR8A as well as contributions to the CPF Board.

The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) is actively conducting the audit on employer’s reporting compliance to assist employer’s in the correct reporting of the employee’s remuneration. The CPF Board has also increased its audit on employers to check on employers contributions.

Where lapses in compliance are discovered by the 2 regulators, heavy penalties and fines maybe imposed and even prosecution of the responsible officers. Non-compliance by an employer in these 2 areas can lead to very heavy penalties for the company and may include a term of imprisonment.

This talk will raise the level of awareness and knowledge on the risk of non-compliance in both income reporting and CPF contributions and the impact of non-compliance.
