Event Overview:

Businesses today are operating in an environment, characterised by unprecedented geopolitical and economic uncertainties, disruptive technologies and business models, and changing customer expectations and behaviour. Organisations need to factor in the uncertainties in the environment when formulating their organization’s strategy and business objectives. Effective enterprise risk management helps to optimize the outcomes. In September 2017, COSO released its highly anticipated ERM Framework: Enterprise Risk Management–Integrating with Strategy and Performance which highlights the importance of considering risk in both the strategy-setting process and in driving performance.

Woon Teck will also talk about the importance of moving from a rule based ERM framework to values based ERM framework and why building a strong risk culture is critical in the current age of disruption. Also, participant will get insights on the impact of the disruptions on an organisation’s ERM framework and how risks can be addressed in a collective manner rather than a siloed approach.
