Role Description:
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Singapore for an Assistant Manager, Events & Communications. The role is mainly responsible for leading and executing The Institute of Internal Auditors Singapore’s flagship conferences and events. In doing so, you play an important role in positioning the Institute as the partner of choice for the internal audit profession.
- Lead the planning and execution of conferences, webinars, and other events (both physical and virtual), ensuring smooth delivery from concept through to post event review
- Support sponsorship efforts, including identifying opportunities, preparing sponsorship materials, and working with sponsors on deliverables and fulfilment
- Develop and manage event marketing collateral such as brochures, sponsorship decks, and eDMs
- Support the preparation and coordination of communications materials across email, website, and social media channels
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment of messaging and outreach efforts
- Maintain and update website and digital platforms to ensure content is current and engaging
- Track event budgets, monitor expenditures, and support basic financial reporting for events
- Provide support on other projects and initiatives as required
Qualifications:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in event management or a related role
- Strong experience managing end-to-end event execution, including working with vendors, venues, and sponsors
- Comfortable working on both physical and virtual event formats
- Basic understanding of website content management, HTML knowledge is a plus but not essential
- Proficient in MS Office, familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or design tools is an advantage
- Comfortable using social media and engaging in online community building
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for clarity and detail
- Able to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and respond well in a fast-paced environment
- Resourceful, organised, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership
