Public Sector Internal Audit PSIA Conference 2017
The theme of PSIA Conference on 20 - 21 April 2017, “Rising to the Challenges of the Future", reflects the changes in global economic landscape and digital disruption. What is working today may not necessarily meet the challenges and risks of the future. Public sector internal auditors play a key supporting role in assisting their organisations achieve their strategies, which can be challenging in today’s dynamic risk landscape. It is important for internal auditors to be adequately equipped and future-ready. They need to keep abreast of the developments and share experiences with one another.
At the Conference, close to 240 delegates from Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand were able to network and share their experiences. The conference was graced by our Guest of Honour, Mr. Chaly Mah, Chairman of Singapore Accountancy Commission. The delegates also heard from Ms. Jessica Tan, Chairman of Public Accounts Committee in her keynote speech on what IA could do for the digital future. In addition, at the PSIA Conference, esteemed local and global practitioners and thought leaders shared on the challenges and risks of the future as well as on issues pertinent to internal audit. The delegates also gained insights from the panelists engaged in animated discussions on the topics, “Challenges of Digital Governance in the Public Sector” and “Internal Audit Rising to the Challenges of the Future”.
