Visit from the Lagos State Government
A delegation of 26 senior officials from the Ministry of Finance and the State Treasury Office of the Lagos State Government visited IIA Singapore on 11 December 2018, as part of its study and economic trip. The delegation was led by Mr Ashade. A.J., the Honourable Commissioner of Finance and accompanied by the Accountant General/Permanent of the State Treasury Office.
Present at the sharing session included Ms Tan Boon Yen, President of IIA Singapore, Ms Goh Puay Cheh, Executive Director of IIA Singapore and Mr Abdul Hamid Bin Abdullah, past Governor of IIA Singapore, who collectively provided more insights on internal audit and its significance in governance, IIA global certifications and the International Professional Practices Framework.
Mr Ashade and his team posed questions ranging from the practice of internal audit in Singapore and advocacy efforts undertaken by IIA Singapore to certification process for Certified Internal Auditor.
