Annual Conference
More than 300 senior internal audit professionals, from a variety of sectors and representing Asia and the United States gathered at our Annual Conference on 16 and 17 October 2019. Themed “Empowering for Disruption”, the conference brought together thought leaders to explore strategies and approaches on how to transform internal audit so that internal auditors can live up to the role of a trusted advisor and a strategic partner in today’s dynamic and disrupted environment.
One of the key messages highlighted in the welcome address by Mr Koh Chin Beng, President of IIA Singapore was the importance of internal audit functions conforming to the IIA International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. Conformance to Standards, together with alignment of resource level, competence and structure with organisational strategy, contributes to an effective and adequately resourced internal audit function.
Besides learning and networking, our delegates also had fun taking their executive headshots at IIA Singapore Corporate Photo booth during the 2-day conference.
