Connecting with SUSS Students

Mr Nicodemus Tan, Partner, Governance and Risk from Baker Tilly LLP and Governor of IIA Singapore conducted a talk on data management to students from Singapore University of Social Sciences on 12 September 2019. His sharing session covered the background of IIA and definition of a data governance framework. Having a strong data governance framework is central to the success of any data-driven organisation because it ensures this valuable asset is properly maintained, protected and maximised. When implementing a data governance framework, an accurate assessment of the ‘here and now’ is key. With this in mind, he shared the key steps for implementing a data governance framework.
