Navigating a Budding Internal Audit Career
The IIA Singapore Young Professionals Working Group (YPWG) held its first-ever event on 14 April 2021 - a webinar which featured two members of the group, Andrew Bronshtein, Director, Risk Assurance PwC Singapore and Natalie Goh, Manager, Enterprise Risk, Consulting, Ernst and Young Advisory. To kick-off the webinar, “Navigating a Budding Internal Audit Career”, our President Koh Chin Beng and YPWG Advisor, Raj Bux gave a short address to extend their appreciation and support to the YPWG team for their passion and commitment to the internal audit profession. Katherine Ang, Chair of the YPWG also had the opportunity to share briefly about the formation of the YPWG team comprising 11 members and its outreach activities targeted at young internal auditors aged 35 years and below. The sharing by the two speakers focused on the evolving role of internal audit, techniques of great interviewing, communicating effectively, and the mindset changes required for a career starter to reposition himself or herself to increase one’s competitive advantage.
A big thank you to the over 80 young internal auditors for supporting our YPWG’s webinar and participating in the lucky draw quiz.
