UOB Internal Audit’s Transformation Journey
UOB’s internal audit function embarked on its three-year transformation journey, investing in innovative tools and methods to enhance its audit approach and to automate audit processes such as audit tests and reporting. This transformation has enabled the function to drive internal cultural change, to sharpen its capabilities and to stay relevant to meet the bank's needs.
Over 300 participants from Singapore, Brunei, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand attended the webinar, “UOB Internal Audit’s Transformation Journey” on 25 March 2021. Daniel Ng, Head of Group Audit, UOB shared how his internal audit team has been harnessing the benefits of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, application programming interface, blockchain and cloud computing to augment insights and to improve audit quality.
