Celebrating the Holiday Spirit at the IIA Singapore YPWG Christmas Networking Gathering
More than 30 participants, including IIA Singapore Governors and YPWG Committee members, celebrated the holiday season and bid farewell to the year at Soll (Sunset on 11), a rooftop restaurant with city views on 7 December 2023.
Nicodemus Tan, Secretary of IIA Singapore Board of Governors, set the tone by reflecting on the dynamic evolution of the profession and the increasing imperative for internal auditors to stay ahead of the curve. Drawing from personal experience, Nicodemus shared invaluable tips on staying updated, including leveraging IIA resources and cultivating professional relationships. He encouraged participants to seize the opportunity to learn and share, fostering collective growth.
The festivities kicked off with participants mingling, forming new connections, all while indulging in a delightful spread of food and drinks. To further strengthen these connections, participants were grouped into 4-6 member teams for an engaging game. The three fastest winners were invited to the front for a thrilling showdown and left with prizes.
Closing the evening, Olivia Loke, Chairperson of IIA Singapore YPWG, expressed heartfelt thanks to all attendees for making the event a success. She emphasised the continued commitment of IIA Singapore YPWG to organise events that contribute to the engagement and support of young professionals on their internal audit journey.
