Leveraging Technologies in Internal Audit
As organisations continue to evolve and adopt more advanced technology into their operations, the internal audit’s mandate remains unchanged. To continue adding value to their organisations, internal audit must embrace the benefits of emerging technologies.
IIA Singapore organised its first in-person lunch talk, “Leveraging Technologies in Internal Audit” on 9 March 2023 at its Telok Ayer office. During his presentation, Dusk Lim, Head of Enterprise Business from Diligent spoke about how internal audit teams can leverage technology to increase audit capacity and the speed of completion; improve defensibility and trust of the audit programme; and generate relevant and real-time reporting for stakeholders.
With access to information within the organisation and increasing capabilities to use data, internal audit is in the ideal position from which to anticipate risks and issues to help the organisation achieve its goals.
