Public Sector Internal Audit Conference 2023
The IIA Singapore Public Sector Internal Audit Conference held on 20 April 2023 at Marina Bay Sands, Sands Expo and Convention Centre was a huge success, with close to 300 participants attending. The conference theme, Riding the Wave of Transformation, provided an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn from industry experts and leaders about the latest trends and best practices in the field.
The Guest-of-Honour, Dr Gerard Ee, Chairman of Agency for Integrated Care, delivered a speech highlighting the importance of effective professional standards. He emphasised that standards are essential in the internal audit profession, providing a framework for consistency, professionalism, accountability, best practices, and compliance. Dr Ee also commended the IIA’s commitment to working on the proposed new Global Internal Audit Standards that serve the public interest. Throughout the day, attendees were presented with an array of topics, including the new Global Internal Audit Standards, Steward Leadership, Auditing Automation, Data Analytics, and Responsible Business Conduct. With 24 speakers sharing their knowledge, it was an insightful and informative event.
