Visit from JICPA

On 29 August 2023, IIA Singapore had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA). The JICPA delegation, led by Mr Michihisa Sato, consisted of seven esteemed members.

In an era where climate change takes center stage on the global agenda, IIA Singapore President, Koh Chin Beng, and Executive Director, Richard Dyason took the opportunity to share more about Singapore's sustainability journey, especially in the area of sustainability reporting. The delegation was also apprised of the latest updates on the new Global Internal Audit Standards. These standards are instrumental in shaping the future of our profession, ensuring that our members remain well-prepared and adaptable in an ever-evolving business landscape. Richard provided an overview of how IIA Singapore is committed to equipping members with the tools they need to excel in their roles, offering educational programmess, networking events, and professional development opportunities.
