What You Need to Know About the Proposed Changes to the Standards
In conjunction with International Internal Audit Awareness Month in May, IIA Singapore organised a series of four complimentary webinars aimed at helping internal auditors stay up-to-date with the latest changes and trends in the profession.
The first webinar, titled "What You Need to Know About the Proposed Changes to the Standards," took place on 4 May 2023 and was attended by over 290 participants from Singapore, Brunei, Canada, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Taiwan, and the UK
The webinar featured two speakers: Angela Indirawati Simatupang, Director of the Global Board of RSM International Limited and Senior Partner at RSM Indonesia, and Manoj Agarwal, Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management at Metro Brands Limited.
Presented by Angela Indirawati Simatupang, Director of the Global Board of RSM International Limited and Senior Partner at RSM Indonesia, and Manoj Agarwal, Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management at Metro Brands Limited, attendees learned about the major changes to the Standards and how to participate in the public comment period. The speakers covered a range of topics, including the history of the IPPF Evolution project, the new Standards structure and high-level coverage of each domain, top changes and/or new different requirements in each domain, and an overview of the public review and comment process.
IIA Global is transforming the International Professional Practices Framework, including the Standards, to prepare the internal audit profession for the future. It is important for all internal auditors to stay up-to-date with these changes and support the new Global Internal Audit Standards by reading the proposed Standards and taking the survey here.
