CAE Networking Event

On 30 August 2024, IIA Singapore hosted an engaging CAE Networking event that brought together over 30 Chief Audit Executives and internal audit leaders from a wide range of industries. The event was not only a valuable networking opportunity but also a celebration of our shared commitment to advancing the profession.

The evening kicked off with a welcome address from Richard Dyason, Executive Director of IIA Singapore, who highlighted the importance of collaboration and continuous learning in driving the profession forward. His words set the tone for a meaningful evening of connection and knowledge-sharing. Our guest speaker, Naohiro Mouri, Chairman of the IIA International Internal Audit Standards Board and Executive Vice President and Chief Auditor at AIG, shared invaluable insights into the new Global Internal Audit Standards and how they could enhance organisational performance. He provided a candid perspective on the challenges of establishing these Standards, particularly with the 19,000 responses received for the Standards exposure draft. His discussion covered key topics such as cybersecurity, technology, culture audits, and other critical areas, offering a wealth of knowledge that was both enlightening and impactful.

Members enjoyed a selection of local favourites like Kueh Pie Ti, Popiah, Muah Chee, Smoked Peking Duck, and Orh Nee, which added a delightful touch to the networking experience.

The event was a success, thanks to the active participation and contributions of all attendees. Their engagement and valuable insights are instrumental in strengthening the community.
