Technology Trends and Innovation in Audit 2024
On 27 June 2024, IIA Singapore hosted a webinar titled "Technology Trends and Innovation in Audit in 2024," presented by Shawn Leong, Chief Commercial Officer at Handshakes. This session attracted over 260 attendees from Singapore and the region, eager to explore the latest technologies and innovations transforming the internal audit landscape.
Shawn provided an overview of how audit innovation is evolving, focusing on the adoption and utilisation of cutting-edge technologies to streamline audit procedures and enhance quality. The session highlighted key technologies such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotic process automation. These tools are instrumental in automating repetitive tasks, analysing large volumes of data, identifying anomalies, and providing deeper insights into audit processes. He also shared case studies, demonstrating how these technologies are already being implemented to transform the audit process.
