Unveiling Employee-Vendor Connections in 2024

In collaboration with Handshakes, IIA Singapore hosted a lunch talk titled "Unveiling Employee-Vendor Connections in 2024" at our office on 21 March 2024. The event attracted over 25 members eager to explore the intricacies of business relationships in the modern landscape.

Darren Neo, Head of Business Development & Client Success at Handshakes, shed light on the importance of uncovering complex business relationships to mitigate risks effectively. As internal auditors play a pivotal role within organisations, the early detection of fraudulent behaviour is paramount to proactively safeguarding against potential disruptions to business operations. Attendees were presented with case studies demonstrating how technology can unveil insights into existing layers of connections. Through advanced mapping capabilities, participants gained insights into the intricate relationships among businesses, employees, and vendors, empowering them to make informed decisions. After the presentation, Handshakes staff provided a demo of the tool, addressing queries, thus enriching the learning experience for attendees.

By leveraging data and technology to uncover intricate business relationships, internal auditors become aware of valuable solutions to proactively mitigate risks.
