Tan Peck Leng Recognised with ACIIA Award
The 2025 ACIIA Conference in Kuala Lumpur marked a proud milestone for Singapore’s internal audit community. On 9 September 2025, Tan Peck Leng, Senior Director of Internal Audit at the National Research Foundation Singapore, Honorary Member of IIA Singapore and former President, was honoured with the 2025 ACIIA Award for Outstanding Contribution in the Field of Internal Auditing.
This prestigious award recognises individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and impact in advancing the internal audit profession, whether through leadership, innovation, education, publications, or volunteer service within their local IIA institute, ACIIA communities, or the Asia-Pacific region. Tan Peck Leng shared: “I am deeply honoured to receive the 2025 ACIIA Award for Outstanding Contribution in the field of Internal Auditing. This recognition is not just a personal milestone but a reflection of the collective efforts of many dedicated professionals who have journeyed with me. It underscores the importance of collaboration, continuous learning, and a shared commitment to advancing the internal audit profession. I hope it inspires others to contribute meaningfully and advance the profession with integrity and impact.”
The award presentation was one of the highlights of the ACIIA Conference, which took place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 9 and 10 September 2025 and brought together more than 1,500 delegates from across the region. Alongside the plenary sessions and networking opportunities, the IIA Singapore booth drew steady interest from participants. Delegates engaged in an interactive activity, received Singapore-themed giveaways, and learned more about the upcoming IIA 2026 International Conference, to be hosted in Singapore from 22 to 24 June 2026.
In the lead-up to the ACIIA conference, IIA Singapore President Stephen Ching and Executive Director Richard Dyason also attended the ACIIA Business Meetings and discussion sessions on 7 and 8 September 2025. These engagements provided a valuable platform to exchange insights with counterparts from IIA affiliates across the region, strengthen professional networks, and reinforce collaboration within the Asia-Pacific internal audit community.
