49th Annual General Meeting

On 28 October 2025, IIA Singapore held its 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at NUSS Suntec City Guild House, bringing together over 50 members. The AGM provided a platform to reflect on the past year and celebrate key milestones for the Institute and the internal audit profession.

Over the past year, IIA Singapore marked several significant achievements. IIA Singapore, in collaboration with IIA Global, will co-host the IIA 2026 International Conference from 22 to 24 June, themed “Transform Internal Audit”, bringing together internal audit professionals and thought leaders from around the world to explore innovation, emerging risks, and best practices. The Institute also received global recognition for advancing collaboration, diversity, and inclusion, while corporate members such as OCBC Group Audit were awarded the IIA Excellence Award for Global Innovation in Internal Audit for leveraging AI, machine learning, and automation to enhance audit effectiveness and efficiency.

A highlight of the AGM was the election of David Toh as President, alongside the Board of Governors for FY2025/2026. New Governors include Gerald Gan (Regional Head of Audit for Financial Crimes and Core Compliance, APAC, MUFG Bank); Emily Lai (Partner - Head of Business Risk Services, Grant Thornton ); Evan Law (Chairman and Board Member, Kampong Kapor Community Services); Ishan Sen (Head of Internal Audit & Controls, Bridgestone Asia Pacific); and Colin Wan (Head of Strategy and Business Management, Group Audit, OCBC). Five incumbent Governors, namely Freddie Chew, Serah Lin, Cherrie Ong, Daryl Pereira, and Gary Teo, were re-elected, with Stephen Ching continuing as Immediate Past President.
