Supporting SUSS Accountancy Interest Group’s Welfare Drive
On 1 April 2025, IIA Singapore supported the Welfare Drive organised by the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) Accountancy Interest Group, held at the SUSS campus. The initiative was designed to uplift and motivate students as they prepare for their upcoming exams, providing welfare packs to over 100 students, offering both practical support and encouragement during an intense academic period.
Representatives from IIA Singapore, Ng Sze Min and Lynnette Yong from the Membership & Certification team, were on hand to engage with students. They shared insights on the skills required to succeed in the internal audit profession, highlighted the importance of certifications for professional growth, and promoted IIA Singapore’s free student membership, encouraging students to join the network and access valuable resources. In addition, they addressed common questions from students, such as the differences between internal audit and external audit, as well as salary differences between the two professions.
The Welfare Drive underscores IIA Singapore’s commitment to outreach efforts aimed at engaging students and inspiring the next generation of internal auditors. By participating in such initiatives, IIA Singapore continues to play an active role in promoting the profession and supporting students in their academic and professional growth.
