YPWG Networking Night
On 5 December 2025, 43 members and friends from IIA Singapore and ACCA Singapore came together for a year-end networking evening at The Mind Cafe. Organised by the IIA Singapore Young Professionals Working Group (YPWG), the event provided a relaxed setting for attendees to connect, socialise, and enjoy an evening of board games.
The event began with a welcome address by Gary Teo, Treasurer, Board of Governors at IIA Singapore and YPWG Advisor, who encouraged attendees to take the opportunity to meet new peers and strengthen professional connections in a fun, informal setting. Participants engaged in a variety of board games, ranging from quick, social games to more strategic challenges. The winning team, “Linked-Out”, took home cash vouchers for securing the highest scores in the games.
Attendees shared their feedback on the event. One participant said, “Really fun engagement with others, playing boardgames, being competitive and getting to know others better.” Another commented, “Thanks for the great fun and memories!” An ACCA participant added, “Loved the energy in the room and the board games added such a fun twist to networking.”
The evening concluded with a closing address by Derick Du Xun, YPWG Chairperson, who thanked attendees for joining and acknowledged the efforts of the YPWG team in bringing the event together. He also encouraged members to look out for more engaging events in 2026.
The year-end networking night successfully combined fun and professional connection, giving members an opportunity to meet peers, share experiences, and celebrate the year together.
