Pickleball Social With IIA Singapore YPWG
On 22 August 2026, more than 20 participants gathered at RED Quarters for a morning of pickleball organised by the IIA Singapore Young Professionals Working Group (YPWG). The session brought together learning, friendly competition and networking, providing an opportunity for participants to connect with fellow professionals in a relaxed and engaging setting.
The morning began with a pickleball clinic, where participants were introduced to the fundamentals of the game and guided through practical techniques and drills. The clinic provided participants with an opportunity to learn the basics before putting what they had learnt into practice during the friendly tournament. The tournament brought plenty of energy and teamwork to the court, with participants competing in a spirited but friendly atmosphere. Beyond the competition, the activity provided a different platform for participants to interact, build connections, and get to know fellow professionals outside the usual work setting.
The top three teams were recognised at the end of the tournament. The two first prize winners each received a pickleball paddle, presented by IIA Singapore Governor Serah Lin and YPWG Chair Derick Du. The second and third placed teams received shopping vouchers. The morning concluded with a catered networking lunch, giving participants an opportunity to continue conversations and connect over a meal.
Through activities that combine learning, recreation and networking, the YPWG continues to create opportunities for professionals to connect with peers, broaden their networks and engage with the internal audit community in different ways.
