Synopsis
IIA Singapore, in collaboration with Nexia Singapore and 11 supporting organisations, recently conducted a survey examining the impact of AI on corporate governance, risk management and internal audit.
This webinar shares the findings of the survey which was released on 21 March 2025. With 190 responses and 37 questions, the survey provides valuable insights into AI adoption, governance challenges, and assurance needs across decision-making, evolving stakeholder expectations, and the skills required for internal auditors in an AI-driven world.

Edwin Hooi

Edwin is a Chartered Accountant and is an audit practitioner with 30 years’ experience; serving clients in both private and public sectors with a focus on governance, risk management and compliance. He is certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) and holds a Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA). He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). In his spare time, Edwin volunteers by serving on management boards of several non-profit organizations. He has also published research and policy papers focused on the areas of cybersecurity, and insider threats.
Uantchern Loh
Chairman (Asia Pacific)
Black Sun Global
Uantchern Loh is currently the Chairman (Asia Pacific) for Black Sun Global, an international stakeholder engagement company. In this role, he helps businesses drive positive change by integrating strategy, analytics, AI, sustainability, and creative storytelling. Uantchern serves on the boards of Shared Services for Charities, Kidney Dialysis Foundation, and Securities Investors Association Singapore. He is also a District Councillor for the Central Singapore Community Development Council. He has served IIA Singapore on the Board of Governors and is a Past President.
