Description:
CPE Hour: 1
Synopsis
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into internal audit marks a transformative shift in how organisations approach governance and control. With the introduction of ISO/IEC 42001, internal auditors now have a robust framework to develop and implement sustainable AI governance practices, ensuring the ethical deployment of AI technologies while managing associated risks.
This webinar will explore the role of internal audit at the forefront of this technological revolution where they are tasked with assessing AI systems for bias, transparency, and accountability. This evolution requires new competencies in algorithmic auditing while maintaining the traditional principles of professional scepticism. Through collaboration with IT departments and business units, internal auditors are fostering a culture of responsible AI that integrates seamlessly into organisational frameworks.
As AI continues to advance, providing assurance over AI systems becomes increasingly critical. This transformation presents an opportunity for internal audit to reinforce its strategic importance, helping organisations navigate the complexities of AI implementation with integrity and purpose.
