Spotlight on Risk Management in the Digital Era at Singapore Police Force’s Roadshow
IIA Singapore participated in the Inspectorate and Risk Management Department (IRMD) Roadshow organised by the Singapore Police Force (SPF) on 21 June 2023. The event, held at the at Auditorium of New Phoenix Park, brought together more than 200 internal audit and risk professionals, including SPF's Deputy Commissioner of Police (Policy), Jerry See.
Themed "Risk Management: The Next Frontier," the roadshow aimed to equip attendees with essential knowledge to effectively navigate the ever-evolving landscape of risk management in the digital era. With an emphasis on current and future risk trends, the event provided a platform for valuable insights and discussions on mitigating risks and capitalising on opportunities within respective organisational units. The collaboration between the Institute and the SPF showcased the shared commitment to promoting excellence in internal audit and risk management.
Jeremy Peh, Principal Trainer at Critical Thinking Academy, delivered a talk on the topic of Industrial Revolution 4.0 & Digital Workplace. Additionally, Jeremy actively participated in a panel discussion alongside the management team of IRMD. Together, they shared invaluable insights on the necessary preparations for the industry 4.0 era, while underscoring the importance of embracing risks and opportunities. Notably, strong leadership was emphasised as a key factor in successfully navigating an uncertain future.
The IRMD Roadshow provided the Institute with a valuable platform to engage in meaningful conversations, foster connections, and strengthen the audit community's expertise in managing emerging risks.
